Africa, ASEAN and GCC Pharma & Health meet to coincide with 57th IPC

The Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil), set up by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, in association with the FICCI is conducting a first of its kind mega event - a Three Region (Africa, ASEAN and GCC) International 'Pharma & Health Conference' on 1-2nd December 2005 at Hyderabad.

The event coincides with the 57th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress and Pharma Expo 2005, being held separately at Hitex, Hyderabad. The meet, to be held at Hotel Taj Krishna, Banjara Hills, is being organised with active support and sponsorship from the Ministries of commerce & industry, chemicals & fertilizers, health & family welfare and external affairs. About 5000 to 7000 international and national delegates are participating in this conference.

PHARMEXCIL sources said all necessary measures have been taken to ensure participation of top and important dignitaries relating to pharma sector from about 40 countries of the three regions. Special invitations have been sent to drug regulatory authorities, health ministry officials, drug procuring agencies etc. in various countries. Invitations are also extended to a large number of major importers and buyers of these countries. On the sidelines of the conference, Pharmexcil is organizing an 'India Show' during these two days to facilitate buyer-seller meetings, where Pharmexcil members are provided with 6 sq.mters stalls to showcase their products.

Incidentally, this is the first international event being organized by Pharmexcil.
